MTN SACCO LIMITED
MTN SACCO is the acronym for Murang’a, Thika and Nairobi. It is a Savings and Credit Co-operative Society whose membership is drawn from the Matatu owners. It has been in existence for 22 years having been registered in the year 2000. The sacco was registered with the core objective of mobilizing savings and advancing credit resources to its members. The sacco operates within Muranga, Thika, Nairobi, Nakuru and Nyeri routes.

SUPPORT ACTIVITIES
The Sacco is involved in other activities that generate more revenue to its members enhancing their core transport business.
TRANSPORT SERVICES
We offer transport services, with our wide range fleet of vans, trucks for both commercial and private transport.
MONEY TRANSFER SERVICES
We operate various money transfers services, such as Mpesa, M-Banking, in Muranga, Thika and Nairobi towns
COURIER SERVICES
We offer courier service for all types of parcels,such as high value, fragile and urgent parcels.
INSURANCE SERVICES
We operate an insurance agency trading as Emiten insurance agency and that provides all insurance services.
PETROL STATION
We operate various petrol stations, that offer services such as service bay, tyre centre, car wash.

MTN Sacco was founded in the year 2000. It has been in existence for 22 years now.

We have a sacco membership of over 100 members from the matatu owners.

We have employed 150 staff, as we strive to create job opportuinties to empower the youth.

We are proud to have a fleet of over 190+ vehicles compirisng of vans and fuel trucks.

MANDATE AND CORE FUNCTIONS
MTN SACCO derives its mandate from the Co-operative Societies Act, 2004 and the SACCO By-laws. The SACCO was formed to promote the economic and social interests of members, in accordance with the co-operative principles of open and voluntary membership, economic participation, democratic member control, education and information, cooperation among cooperatives and Concern for the community.
